#Captain toad treasure tracker ending full
The Marioverse is full of repetition (how many times have certain 1-1 stages/levels been reused? What about the times Peach has been kidnapped not by just Bowser, but others as well, sometimes twice or more in a single game? Or how the same Super Mario story/game will be played out again but with Luigi doing it for one reason or another?).the Marioverse is full of repetition (how many times have certain 1-1 stages/levels been reused? So the timeline could go something like this:Ĭaptain Toad Episode 1 > 3D World > Captain Toad Episodes 2+3 > Odyssey So I'm making this post to ask, which ending do you think is canon? Perhaps both of them are?ĮDIT: I think both are canon! As you know, you see the credits twice in the game: Once after Episode 1, and another time after Episode 3.

This obviously throws off the continuity, as now we have two endings for the same game, each leading into different games (IMO the original ending is waaay better, it's much more clever and isn't a flat-out advertisement like the new ending is). But in the Switch and 3DS ports, this ending is retconned, and replaced with an ending that leads into Odyssey.

As you probably know, Captain Toad on Wii U ended with a reveal that the game was a prequel to 3D World all along.
